Comprehensive Eye Exams

We provide state of the art, comprehensive eye examinations for adults and children utilizing the latest eye exam technology. Computerized, automated vision testing creates the most accurate glasses prescription possible. Also included in our exam are sophisticated peripheral vision testing, eye muscle coordination testing, tests of the eyes focusing ability, and depth perception testing. We complete the exam with a detailed eye health examination with pupil dilation when indicated to screen for eye diseases including cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.

Contact Lens Evaluation and Fitting

Our office specializes in all types of contact lenses. From simple disposable contact lenses, to more complicated contact lenses such as scleral contact lenses, hybrid lenses, and bitoric rigid gas permeable lenses, we can handle most any contact lens situation. As contact lens technology has advanced, our office has kept pace providing contacts for children, adults, and bifocal wearers. Contact lenses for astigmatism are commonplace in our practice, and fit on a daily basis. We welcome challenging contact lens fits, and people who were told they can’t wear contact lenses.

We have a wide selection of children’s frames, Dilli Dallies, RayBan, Funoogles and more. We offer reasonably priced kids packages. Our lab provides all advancements in lens design including ultra-thin, ultra-lite lenses. We also offer popular lens enhancements like anti-glare lenses, photochromic lenses, and super tough scratch resistant coatings. As always, our office provides free lifetime glasses adjustments and minor repairs when you purchase your glasses from us.

Treatment of Eye Disease and Infection

Our Doctors are certified in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease. We treat many acute eye conditions including “pink eye” and other eye infections, dry eyes, and minor eye injuries. Our office also uses state of the art diagnostic equipment to diagnose and treat chronic eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts.

Myopia Control

St. Joe Vision is one of the few offices in the area to offer this ground breaking service. “Myopia control” is the use of specific treatments to slow the progression of nearsightedness in children. There are four primary categories of myopia control treatments: atropine eye drops, multifocal contact lenses, multifocal eyeglasses and orthokeratology (ortho-k). Myopia control is important because it may help reduce the risk of vision-threatening complications associated with high myopia later in life — including glaucoma, cataracts, retinal detachment and even blindness.

Advanced Dry Eye Treatment

More than 100 million people worldwide suffer with the symptoms of dry eyes. The Doctors at St. Joe Vision provide advanced, personalized treatment for this common eye disease. Effective, long term treatment usually involves much more than just OTC artificial tears or prescription eye drops. We use the latest technology to diagnose the specific cause of each individual’s dry eyes, and customize a treatment plan tailored to targeting that cause. Laser Vision Correction

With a proven 30 year history, laser vision correction, or LASIK, is a safe and viable option for many patients. As part of our commitment to provide full scope eye care, we provide consultation and pre and post operative care of the LASIK patient. Our office has partnered with Indiana Lasik Center to provide world class laser vision correction from start to finish.
