Dr. Martin White
Optometrist
Dr. Martin White grew up in Terre Haute, IN and received his B.S. and Doctorate in Optometry from Indiana University. He completed academic clinical rotations at Colmery O’Neil VA Medical Center in Topeka, KS as well as the Naval Medical Center in Quantico, VA. Dr. White was certified in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease in 1991.
In addition to his practice, Dr. White is very involved in volunteer activities in the community. He has been a youth sports coach for several years involved at St. Joe Little League, YMCA basketball, and St. Charles Borromeo football. Dr. White has three children, Allison, Patrick and Isabelle. Dr. White donates his time providing free vision screenings for local non-public schools. In his free time, Dr. White enjoys playing golf and working out. He has been married to his wife Lisa for 25 years.
Dr. Mitchell Minix
Optometrist
Dr. Mitchell Minix grew up in North Judson, IN and received his B.S. in Business from the Kelley School of Business and his Doctorate in Optometry from Indiana University. At Indiana University he was trained in specialized contact lens fittings, pediatric care, and ocular disease management. He completed his clinical rotations at Eye Surgeons of Indiana in Indianapolis and the Department of Veteran Affairs in Evansville. Dr. Minix has been married to his wife, Katie, for six years. He’s the father of two energetic children with one on the way. Outside of the office, Dr. Minix enjoys running, singing, and spending time with friends and family.
Lisa White
Administrator, Human Resources
Lisa is Dr. White’s spouse and co owner of the practice. She oversees St. Joe Vision’s marketing, business and patient care. Prior to entering the private practice, Lisa taught elementary education at St. Patrick’s and St. Charles Borromeo Schools for 6 years and then stayed home to raise their three children.
